BOARD & TRAIN
Here at Howling Woods K9 we are focused on the training of family pets. Our training programs help to build a good relationship between you & your pet. We always take a positive approach and use balanced techniques in our training. Training is a necessity for dogs and owners to live peacefully with one another. Dogs are much happier, confident, & well-adjusted animals when they have someone to give them clear and consistent communication.
A dog needs a healthy amount of exercise, mentally & physically to satisfy their instinctual desires. When these daily requirements aren't being met, it can lead to less desirable outcomes. A well-trained dog is less likely to display undesirable behaviors such as jumping on guests, chewing up things they shouldn't, or being hard to handle by you, groomers, or veterinarians. If you want to learn how to communicate better and have your furry family member become well mannered and polite, we are here to help!
Mind Your Manners - $1,000
Age - 6months & older
Duration - 2 weeks
In our Mind Your Manners training program your dog will have an individualized lesson plan tailored to fit you and your pets specific needs. We will build a foundational on commands - Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Heel, Off, & Place. They will learn the importance of leash manners and basic handling. We are a relationship-based, and use balanced techniques. We recommend this program for dogs who have not been through a structured training program or need help building a solid foundation. If you wish for your dog to be given the necessary life skills to set up a solid future, this program is for you!
Puppy Fundamentals - $1200
Age - 8 weeks - 6 months
Duration - 2 weeks
In our Puppy Fundamentals training program, we work with your new puppy to understand basic manners. We introduce your puppy to commands including Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Heel, Off, and Place. They will be introduced to proper handling, leash manners, crate training, house breaking, threshold manners and appropriate social play with other dogs. Your puppy will be given the necessary skills to set them up for a successful future!
In-Home Training - $45/hour session
(Initial Consultation-$10)
Age - 8 weeks & older
Duration - Variable
In our In-Home training program, we come to you. You and your dog will be introduced to basic manners including - Sit, Down, Stay, Come, Heel, Off, and Place. You will be coached and instructed on how you can work with your dog to improve their skills.
THINGS TO
KNOW
To qualify for a program your pet must complete a FREE full day Meet & Greet evaluation prior to boarding with us. During this evaluation process we will assess the overall comfortability levels of your pet with staff and with other pets to determine if we are an appropriate fit for you & your pet.
The Mind Your Manners training program includes feedings 2x a day.
The Puppy Fundamentals program will include feedings 3x a day. Your pet will be given multiple outings outdoors to relieve themselves and play each and every day.
IMPORTANT NOTES: We do NOT specialize in Behavior Modification. If your dog is in any way showing signs of aggression toward humans or other dogs, we will NOT allow your pet to board with us. We would recommend you seek out a Behavior Modification Specialist.
For our Board and Train's, each dog is an individual and will learn at their own pace. We do our best to make the learning process a positive, conducive, and exciting experience as possible for your dog. Some may learn faster or slower than others due to age, temperament, personality, and breed. We make no guarantee that every dog will be at the exact level you expect of them when ready for departure day. With that said, we do our very best to set you both up for a lifetime of success!
